 Women in the Wind was born in 1979 when Becky Brown, founder (pictured), sought out other female riders who wanted to get together as a group to ride.  Growing from a small group of only 11 on the first ride, Women in the Wind has transformed over the years to become an international women's riding organization with over 1,000 members.  Promoting a positive image of women motorcyclists, we welcome all kinds of motorcycles and our members are from all walks of life: everything from students to secretaries, real estate agents and teachers, factory workers, and police officers. Our members are married and single, mothers and grandmothers. We have them all!

Rolling through the curves and hills of Vermont, the Green Mountain Spirit Chapter of Women in the Wind are women from all walks of life who ride a variety of motorcycles.  Coming together gives us the opportunity to not only ride together, but also to provide for a forum to discuss issues that effect female riders, learn  important skills and maintenance practices.  On top of that we just have a great time!
